Kana Wins the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship
|
Over the last six months, the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship has become more well-known in the United States as the belt was passed around to various wrestlers and non-wrestlers around the country. There has been over 1,000 title changes with the championship over the years, between both people and inanimate objects alike, but five of those title reigns are held by the current NXT Women’s Champion – Kana.
Event: DDT “Judgement 2012”

Iron Man Heavy Metal Championship: Ten Minute Battle Royal with Antonio Honda, Gorgeous Matsuno, Kana, Keita Yano, Michael Nakazawa, Poison JULIE Sawada, Tigers Mask, and Tomomitsu Matsunaga
Doing any type of play by play on DDT is borderline impossible, particular for their comedy matches, so I won’t bother. I will make up for the lack of play by play by having more GIFs than usual so you can see what the hell is going on yourself. Just to be clear, the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship is in no way a serious title in DDT as there are almost always comedic elements in the matches and the title is often won and lost outside of the ring with various shenanigans. In the Battle Royal, the last person with the championship belt after ten minutes won the match, and an unlimited number of pins/champions was allowed during the match until the bell rang.
Kana wasn’t in the first few minutes of the match, as wrestlers came into the match spaced out. Antonio Honda came in as the champion but it didn’t last long, as Michael Nakazawa defeated him for the title and calls in Kana. Nakazawa puffs out his chest and taunts Kana, which as you may have assumed doesn’t go well for him.
