Stardom USA Tour 2015 Photobook Review

Most of the photobooks I review are recent releases, so occasionally I like to go back and look at one of Stardom’s photobooks from a different era. This photobook was released after Stardom’s trip to the USA in 2015, and features both photos from the wrestling events and more casual photos of their biggest stars.

This photobook really flew under the radar for me, especially considering that as of the time of this review it is still for sale by Stardom. In the fall of 2015, Stardom made a special trip to the United States for a pair of events. You can read my reviews of the October 16th and October 18th shows as both were released on DVD. Stardom used a lot of local talent on the events but did bring over a pretty solid group of their own wrestlers as well, including Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo, Mayu Iwatani, and Act Yasukawa. In typical Stardom fashion, while they were in the US anyway they also took extra photos for a photobook to commemorate the trip.

As far as photo variety goes, this photobook is top notch. It has action shots from the wrestling matches, pictures from the wrestlers touring the city, and of course bikini pictures since they were in California. Special guests include Melina, Santana Garrett, and Mia Yim, but the bulk of the non-wrestling shoots focus on Stardom’s roster. The photobook is all in color and full sized, making it a pretty good bang for your buck for only $20. Any photobook that features Mayu, Io, and Kairi is going to be quality, and this one is no different. Here is a sample of some of the photos in the photobook:
