Since I have quit the Twitterverse, I have started using the LINE app a bit more often to talk to various people that I wanted to keep in touch with. LINE is a popular messaging app in Asia but also has quite a following in the United States as well. While in many ways it is a typical messaging app, one special thing it has that others do not is unique stickers.

Stickers are basically images that you post into messages, they are not the same as emojis (LINE has them too) as the sticker appears as its own sent message. Stickers can be officially licensed by just about anything or created by users, and generally cost $1 to $2 to buy a set. A lot of wrestling promotions have sticker sets available for purchase, including many Joshi promotions. Please note that the stickers are strictly digital and can only be used in the LINE app.

I have started buying way too many of these sticker sets as they are awesome, and this morning I added a new one to my collection – Stardom Stars Animated Sticker Set. These are a bit more expensive, $2 for the set, as they are animated (most are just a static picture). Stardom does have another set available from last year that is $1 and is not animated. For those $2, you get a total of 24 stickers. You can see a sample of the stickers available below:

(in order: Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo, Mayu Iwatani, Yoko Bito, Momo Watanabe, Jungle Kyouna, and Kris Wolf)

As you can see, the stickers are adorable and a requirement for anyone that uses LINE and likes Joshi. Other wrestlers that have stickers include Chelsea, Fuka, Arisu Nanase, Azumi, Hiromi Mimura, and Starlight Kid. Perhaps the best $2 I have ever spent, plus I assume/hope that the set is official so buying it helps support the promotion as well. I’ll have more LINE Sticker reviews upcoming, as I don’t see a lot of discussion about the stickers and they deserve more attention as they are unique and are another way to support the sport we all love.

For 24 stickers to use an unlimited amount of times, can’t get much better than $2. The only downside is that the stickers can only be used in the LINE app, so unless you have LINE and someone to talk to in LINE, they won’t do you a lot of good. But if you have LINE, definitely recommended, one of my favorite sets currently available.
